Join the Party!
Bring your friends to a Shards of Alara TM Launch Party at Paladins Game Castle. Play, trade, sell us cards, hang out, have fun, and win cool prizes*.
As always we will be buying cards!! So open those packs and sell to us what you don't want! We will be BUYING cards after the SEALED event ends on Saturday.
Pre Register early to secure your seat! For each PRE Registration and for each BOX PRE ORDERED you get your name in a drawing on Saturday October 4th at 5:00pm for a full box of Shards of Alara Boosters and possibly other cool prizes (Must be present to win!)

When is the Launch Party?
Party will be held Starting Thursday October 2nd at Midnight, Friday October 3rd at 6:00pm and
Saturday: October 4th at 11:00am

Thursday October 2nd  Midnight MADNESS 12:01 AM when we will be able to start selling Shards of Alara. You can also pick up your preorders at midnight if you like. We will stay open until at least 1:00am or until the party is over! For every $10.00 in purchases during Midnight Madness you get to pop a Mana balloon for cool prizes!

Friday October 3rd we will have our normal Friday Night Magic starting at 6:00pm - New cards will be legal
We will also have Shards of Alara Booster drafts starting at 6:00pm Entry Fee is only $12.00 for drafts

Saturday October 4th - we will have the Shards of Alara Launch Party Release SEALED tournament. Registration begins at 10:00am tournament starts at 10:45am - We will also be running Shards of Alara Booster Drafts starting at 1:00pm for $12.00!!

Launch Party Theme Tournament Deck Construction Rules
Choose one of the five Shards and build a 40-card minimum deck only using cards that share the same colors of the Shard chosen (Bant -Green,White, Blue, Esper Black, Blue,White, Grixis Red, Black, Blue, Jund, Black, Red, Green or Naya Red,Green,White).
Cards in your deck may only have mana symbols in the cost of the card that match the Shard's three colors. A deck may not generate mana outside its Shard's colors. Any card which would generate mana of a color that doesn't match the chosen Shard generates colorless mana instead. Colorless cards that don't have any colored mana symbols are legal to play.

*Modified Swiss-style 4 or 5 rounds standings dependent on amount of players. Each player receives one Shards of Alara Tournament Pack and two Shards of Alara Boosters to build a 40-card minimum deck.  Entry fee $20.00
Prizes for Launch Party
Door Prizes: Shards of Alara Life Counters and Shards of Alara Deckbox's will be given out randomly through the day (while supplies last).
Release Tournament: Each participant receives one special foil promo* card (while supplies last - priority to Pre Registrations). The top-four finishers each win a Shards of Alara Deckbox.
Additional booster packs given out for prizes dependent on amount of players.
Food - Pizza and drinks provided to tournament players for Free for RELEASE Tournament
We will have other snacks and food available for sale.

Launch Party Open Dueling
New Magic: The Gathering™ players have the option to sign up for Open Dueling or participate in the Theme Tournament. Open Dueling is an informal and flexible format ideal for new or returning Magic players. Entry fee payment will entitle you to (1) one Intro Pack, (1) one Open Dueling Results Card, and (1) one special Shards of Alara foil promo card (while supplies last). After you complete five matches the organizer will reward you with one complementary Magic booster pack
